How to interpret the result

Start with the suggested preset, then measure in the actual game. Lower shadows, ray tracing and volumetrics first when GPU-limited; reduce simulation or crowd settings when CPU-limited.

Calculation methodology

The tool starts with the site's broad CPU/GPU/game FPS model, applies transparent preset multipliers and a modest RAM-pressure penalty, then selects the highest-quality preset meeting the target.

The calculator runs in your browser from the values you select. Estimates use transparent planning rules and the site’s normalized hardware data; they are not lab benchmarks.

Preset estimate = site FPS model x resolution factor x preset factor

Calculation steps

  1. Estimate a baseline from CPU, GPU, game demand and resolution.
  2. Apply preset and RAM-pressure modifiers.
